Modi Government to Send Cross-Party MP Delegations Abroad to Present India’s Stand on Pahalgam Attack and Operation Sindoor

The Narendra Modi government is preparing to dispatch delegations of Members of Parliament (MPs) from various political parties to key global capitals. The initiative aims to articulate India’s position on the recent Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, reinforcing the nation’s stance as a consistent victim of cross-border terrorism.

According to sources, these delegations are expected to begin their visits soon. The move comes as New Delhi seeks to counter Pakistan’s efforts to internationalize the Kashmir issue and to respond to growing global commentary—most notably remarks from former U.S. President Donald Trump advocating third-party intervention, a position India has consistently opposed in favor of a bilateral resolution framework.

This initiative, coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) alongside other relevant government departments, will focus on delivering a unified Indian narrative on terrorism originating from across the border. Indian diplomatic missions abroad will work in close collaboration with the visiting parliamentary teams to support this diplomatic outreach.

This marks the first time the Indian government is deploying a multi-party parliamentary delegation to advocate its national position on sensitive security matters such as Kashmir and cross-border terrorism. The rare bipartisan effort underscores India’s intent to generate international awareness about the threats posed by Pakistan-based terrorist groups.

MPs will be tasked with briefing foreign governments and lawmakers on the Pahalgam attack, emphasizing evidence pointing to the involvement of terror outfits operating from Pakistani soil. They will also highlight the broader pattern of state-sponsored terrorism, presenting it as a persistent and escalating challenge to India’s national security.
