“Viksit Bharat Is a Journey, Not Just a 2047 Deadline,” Says Hardeep Singh Puri at Youth Leaders Dialogue

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the organizers of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Neta Samvad for conceptualizing the programme, stressing that a “Developed India” is not merely a destination to be reached by 2047, but an ongoing process in which the youth are active participants.

Speaking to the media, Puri praised the depth and maturity of questions raised by young participants, calling them a strong sign of progressive thinking. He noted that discussions around sustainable development, green transition, clean air, and river conservation reflected a positive and forward-looking mindset. According to him, such engagement reinforces the idea that Viksit Bharat is being shaped through continuous effort, not just future targets.

He also highlighted the value of interaction among students from different parts of the country, describing it as a powerful learning experience. Puri extended his congratulations and gratitude to the Prime Minister and everyone involved in designing the initiative.

Viksit Bharat Yuva Neta Samvad 2026 in Full Swing

The third day of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Neta Samvad 2026, organized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, began with great enthusiasm at Bharat Mandapam. As per the official statement, the day featured a range of events, including an inspiring address by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, an engaging interactive session with ISRO astronauts, and a cultural programme celebrating India’s rich diversity.

Earlier, on Friday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval reminded the youth that India’s independence came at a tremendous cost, marked by generations of hardship, loss, and sacrifice. He urged young Indians to draw inspiration from history and contribute to rebuilding the nation, working toward a strong and great India rooted in its values, rights, and beliefs.
