Murmu Highlights Ram Rajya Ideals in Ayodhya, Calls Them Path to Viksit Bharat
Droupadi Murmu visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and installed the Shri Ram Yantra, marking the symbolic completion of the temple’s construction. Describing Ayodhya as a sacred land and a great blessing to visit, the President expressed confidence that by following the ideals of Ram Rajya, India can achieve the vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Droupadi Murmu on Thursday installed the Shri Ram Yantra at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and offered prayers amid Vedic chants, marking an important milestone in the temple’s construction. The Shri Ram Yantra has been installed on the temple’s second floor, which is also its final level, symbolizing the completion of the structure. With this installation, the construction of the temple is considered complete. The religious rituals were performed by Vedic scholars from South India, Varanasi, and Ayodhya under the guidance of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.
Addressing the Shri Ram Yantra installation ceremony at the temple, President Murmu said that it was a great honor for her to set foot on the sacred land of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama. She noted that Lord Rama himself had described his birthplace as greater even than heaven. She added that key milestones such as the groundbreaking ceremony of the temple, the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of the idol of Ram Lalla, the opening of the Ram Darbar for devotees, and the hoisting of the religious flag on the temple’s spire would be remembered as golden moments in India’s history and culture.
The President said that the country is steadily moving toward building an inclusive society and a developed nation. With the blessings of Lord Rama, she expressed confidence that India will achieve its goals of becoming a developed nation by 2047, or perhaps even earlier. By following the ideals of Ram Rajya, she said, the nation can build a society based on morality and righteousness. She also called upon citizens to move forward with devotion and unity, embracing the spiritual belief that “Ram resides in every heart.” According to her, India’s resurgence is taking place across economic, social, political, and cultural dimensions, and devotion to God and devotion to the nation ultimately follow the same path.
Upon her arrival in Ayodhya, the President was welcomed by Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak. As part of her visit, President Murmu will also honor around 400 workers who contributed to the temple’s construction. She is also scheduled to hoist a flag at a temple located in the outer section of the complex, known as the Parkota.
Extensive arrangements were made across the city for the President’s visit. Roads leading to the temple were decorated with saffron flags and banners, creating a festive and devotional atmosphere throughout Ayodhya.
