US Warning Followed by Major Blackout Affecting 11 Million People

Miguel Díaz-Canel, the President of Cuba, has said that the country has been facing a severe oil shortage for the past three months, which has significantly affected electricity supply, industrial activity, and everyday life. The situation has also hit the tourism sector hard, as persistent blackouts, fuel shortages, and growing uncertainty have forced several airlines and tour companies to suspend or reduce their services to Cuba, putting additional pressure on the country’s economy. As a result, Cuba is currently facing a serious crisis on multiple fronts, including economic, energy, and tourism challenges. Laz Pujol, the 53-year-old owner of the travel agency Espoke Cuba Travel, said he is currently advising people to postpone their travel plans to the country.
