Giriraj Singh Takes a Swipe at Rahul Gandhi, Calls Him an “Innocent Child” and the Country’s Only Problem
Giriraj Singh, a Union Minister, has criticized Rahul Gandhi, describing him as an “innocent child” and accusing him of spreading confusion during the COVID-19 period. His remarks came in response to Rahul Gandhi’s statement in which he alleged that Narendra Modi had made a “deal” with the United States and was under the influence of then-President Donald Trump.
Giriraj Singh, a Union Minister, launched a sharp political attack on Rahul Gandhi on March 24, describing him as an “innocent child” and accusing him of spreading confusion during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking to journalists, Singh said that Rahul Gandhi behaves like an inexperienced child and claimed that during the pandemic his actions were linked to creating confusion and provoking people. He added that today both the leadership of the country and its citizens have full faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Singh further said that India fought the COVID-19 crisis successfully and noted that fuel prices have not been increased at the national level. He pointed out that the government in Himachal Pradesh had raised fuel prices and questioned why Rahul Gandhi had not spoken out against it. According to Singh, Gandhi often raises issues elsewhere but avoids questioning price hikes in states governed by opposition parties. He also argued that while many countries such as the United States, Japan, and Germany increased fuel prices, India has managed the situation effectively. Singh added that the country’s leadership is strong enough to turn crises into opportunities and confidently face challenges, claiming that the only problem India currently faces is the Leader of the Opposition.
Singh’s remarks came after Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Lok Sabha regarding the situation in West Asia. Gandhi accused Modi of avoiding any mention of the United States and alleged that the Prime Minister was under the influence of then US President Donald Trump. Speaking at the Tribal Rights Constitution Conference in Vadodara, Gandhi said he had heard that the Prime Minister delivered a 25-minute speech but avoided criticizing the United States. He claimed that Modi would not be able to participate in a proper parliamentary debate on the matter and alleged that the Prime Minister was “completely under the control” of Donald Trump.
