Iran-Israel Row: U.S. Strikes Three Iranian Nuclear Facilities, Confirms Trump
In a major development amid the escalating Iran-Israel conflict, the United States has carried out strikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran. Former President Donald Trump personally confirmed the action, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington has carried out a highly successful military strike on three major nuclear facilities in Iran—Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow. The decision to involve the U.S. directly in the conflict comes after more than a week of Israeli airstrikes on Iran, aimed at systematically dismantling the country’s air defense systems, offensive missile infrastructure, and nuclear enrichment capabilities.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“We have successfully completed a major strike on three of Iran’s nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft have exited Iranian airspace. A full payload of bombs was dropped on Fordow, the primary site. All jets are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American warriors. No other military in the world could have done this. Now is the time for peace! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
In a separate social media post, Trump emphatically declared: “Fordow is gone.”
The U.S. airstrike occurred during an intense aerial conflict between Iran and Israel that has lasted over a week, resulting in casualties and injuries on both sides. Trump revealed that B-2 stealth bombers were deployed for the mission but refrained from disclosing the specific types of munitions used.
While the White House and the Pentagon have yet to provide further official details, both American and Israeli officials have hinted that the operation likely involved 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, capable of penetrating deeply buried targets like Iran’s heavily fortified Fordow nuclear site.
The U.S. intervention marks a significant and risky escalation, especially given Iran’s repeated warnings that it would retaliate against any nation directly involved in Israeli military operations. The move is also politically charged for Trump, who built much of his political brand on promises to avoid costly foreign entanglements and often criticized American interventionism abroad.
As the situation intensifies, global leaders are closely monitoring the fallout, with growing concern over the potential for a broader regional war.
