Narendra Modi to Inaugurate ₹11,200-Crore Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh Today
Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India in the presence of Yogi Adityanath. Developed with an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crore, the airport is expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity by functioning as a major multi-modal transportation hub.
Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India on Saturday, officials said. Extensive security arrangements have been put in place in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.
In the presence of Yogi Adityanath and several other senior leaders, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the airport project, which has been developed with an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crore. He is also expected to address a public rally during the visit.
According to an official statement, the airport has been designed as a multi-modal transportation hub with seamless connectivity to road, rail, metro, and regional transit systems. The project also includes a multi-modal cargo hub with an initial capacity to handle more than 250,000 metric tonnes of cargo annually.
Officials said this cargo handling capacity could eventually be expanded to around 1.8 million metric tonnes per year. The airport’s initial passenger handling capacity is expected to be about 12 million passengers annually, with plans to scale it up to nearly 70 million passengers in the future. During the visit, the Prime Minister may also inspect the airport terminal.
