PM Modi Extends Greetings on Second Anniversary of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha, Calls It a Divine Celebration of Faith
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended his greetings to citizens on the second anniversary of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha, describing the occasion as a divine celebration of India’s faith and traditions. He also highlighted that the Dharma Dhwaj (religious flag), hoisted last month, is witnessing the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol for the first time.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that the sacred land of Ayodhya is celebrating the second anniversary of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha. He called the occasion a divine expression of devotion and tradition, and on this holy moment, offered millions of salutations at the feet of Lord Shri Ram on behalf of devotees from India and across the world. He extended his heartfelt wishes to all citizens.
PM Modi further said that with the boundless grace and blessings of Lord Shri Ram, a five-century-old resolve of countless devotees has finally been fulfilled. He noted that Ram Lalla is once again enthroned in His grand abode, and that this year, on the twelfth day, the Dharma Dhwaj of Ayodhya stands as a witness to the consecration of Ram Lalla. The Prime Minister added that it was his privilege to take part in the sacred installation of the flag last month.
Expressing his hopes, PM Modi said that the inspiration of Ram Lalla—symbolizing righteousness—should deepen the spirit of service, dedication, and compassion in the heart of every citizen. He emphasized that these values would form a strong foundation for building a prosperous and self-reliant India.
Meanwhile, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on the occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi and the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha. Both leaders also performed the flag hoisting ceremony at the Annapurna Temple and offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi Temple.
The Ram Lalla idol was unveiled on January 22, 2024, during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which lasted for an hour and was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. On the second day of the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations, several sacred rituals were performed at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple as part of the yajna ceremonies. These included Tatva Kalash, Tatva Hom, Manyu Sukta Hom, Ram Tarak Mantra Hom, and other holy rituals.
