Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Finds Himself in Another Awkward Moment During China Visit

During his visit to China, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again found himself in an embarrassing situation. While meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, Sharif fumbled with his earpiece, and the moment quickly went viral on social media.

In the video, Putin is seen smiling, and at one point, he even attempts to help Sharif with how to wear the headphones properly. The viral clip shows Sharif visibly struggling as the headset repeatedly slips off despite his efforts to adjust it. At one moment, President Putin lifts his own headset and gestures toward Sharif, demonstrating how to wear it correctly.

This isn’t the first time the Pakistani Prime Minister has faced such embarrassment. In fact, back in 2022, Sharif was also seen wrestling with his headset during a meeting with Putin at the SCO Summit in Uzbekistan. Earlier at the same summit, he faced online trolling when he hastily moved toward Putin to shake hands while the Russian President was walking alongside Xi Jinping. A viral video showed this moment, and social media users mocked Sharif, with some even claiming that Xi deliberately turned away as Sharif approached.

The recent incident reminded many of the 2022 episode. One user on X (formerly Twitter) shared the earpiece video and wrote, “Putin laughed as Shehbaz Sharif’s headphones slipped in Beijing.” Another asked, “Is this an old video or did it happen again?” A third questioned, “Why does he always get so nervous in front of Putin?” A fourth joked, “Putin is teaching him how to put it on. Haha.” Another user commented, “Again and again!”
